Bantamweight Andrew Whitney will look for his third straight win tonight when he meets Cory Tait at Titan FC 38 at the Miccosukee Casino in Miami, Florida.
Whitney (12-4) is coming off a decision win at Titan FC 34 last year against William Joplin and he is 3-1 in his last four fights. During Thursday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Whitney was a guest on the show to discuss his fight tonight against Tait and explained how he has been focusing on himself rather than what his opponent may want to do tonight.
“We looked at some film. We know that Cory does some things and he does it consistently,” Whitney explained. “So we are going to capitalize on that. For the most part, I focused on me and I don’t really focus on what Cory is going to do because if I focus on what Cory is going to do, he is going to do it. I need to focus on me. I need to be aggressive. I need to get in Cory’s face. I need to put the pressure on him and I will win.”
