A bantamweight bout has been added to the UFC Fight Night 90 card on July 7 in Las Vegas as Anthony Birchak will meet Dileno Lopes in a bout that will likely be part of the preliminary card.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Friday evening.
UFC Fight Night 90 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will be headlined by a title fight as Rafael dos Anjos defends the lightweight title against Eddie Alvarez.
Birchak (12-3) has gone 1-2 in the UFC and is coming off a knockout defeat against Thomas Almeida. His only win in the UFC came in June of last year as he defeated Joe Soto by knockout at UFC Fight Night 68. Lopes (18-2) was a finalist during The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 4 and this will be his first fight since losing in the final against Reginaldo Vieira. Prior to that defeat, he had won five in a row and four of those wins had come by stoppage.
