Bellator 153 took place on Friday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut and was headlined by Andrey Koreshkov retaining the Bellator welterweight title with a decision victory over former WEC and UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson

Along with Koreshkov retaining the Bellator welterweight title in the main event, the co-main event saw former Bellator featherweight champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire scored his ninth career win by submission as he used a guillotine choke to defeat Henry Corrales.
