Inaugural ONE Championship light heavyweight champion to be crowned next month

Next month’s ONE Championship: Ascent to Power fight card has seen a change as middleweight champion Vitaly Bigdash is out of the event due to injury and the new co-main event of the fight card will see Roger Gracie meet Michal Pasternak for the inaugural ONE Championship light heavyweight title.

The change was announced by ONE Championship on late Wednesday evening in a press release.

ONE Championship: Ascent to Power will come from the Singapore Indoor Stadium on May 6 and will be headlined by Angela Lee meeting Mei Yamauchi for the inaugural ONE Championship women’s atomweight title.

“Finally, we’re home in Singapore, and I know a lot of our fans here have been waiting a long time for our return,” ONE Championship CEO Victor Cui said in the press release. “As usual, we have a fantastic night of world-class mixed martial arts action planned for all the fans in attendance. Expect to be at the edge of your seats as we bring you two big title fights featuring our top ONE athletes.”
