Former Bellator featherweight champion Patricio Pitbull has lost his opponent for Bellator 153 in two weeks as John Teixeira has pulled out of the fight with an injury and Bellator is currently seeking a new opponent for the former champion.
Pitbull confirmed the change to The MMA Report on Friday during an interview that will be part of Tuesday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast.”
“Earlier this morning, Bellator let me know that John Macapa is out of this fight with a possible broken rib,” Pitbull said through a translator. “Ever since then, they have been trying to get a replacement and I hope to remain on the card.”
