WSOF will be heading to the Xfinity Arena in Everett, Washington on July 30 for WSOF 32 and the event will be headlined by a title rematch as Alexandre Almeida will defend the featherweight title against former champion Lance Palmer.
The fight booking was announced by WSOF on Tuesday in a press release and the promotion also announced the co-main event will see Phoenix Jones meets his brother Caros Fodor in a catchweight bout of 162 pounds.
“We are excited to make our debut in the great state of Washington with such a spectacular affair that will feature one of the most anticipated and well-deserved rematches of the year, as well as a something that you rarely see in combat sports – a matchup between family members whose competitive rivalry is so intense that, after so many years, it has resulted in the two agreeing to settle their differences in the cage,” said World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo.
Almeida (18-5) defeated Palmer at WSOF 26 in December to win the WSOF featherweight title as he scored a decision victory. He is currently on a five fight winning streak and his last two wins have come in WSOF. Palmer (10-2) has gone 3-2 in the WSOF and this will be his fifth title fight in WSOF. He has gone 2-2 in title fights in the WSOF and the defeat against Almeida snapped a three fight winning streak.
Tickets for WSOF 32: Almeida vs. Palmer II go on sale Friday, May 6 at 10 a.m. PT and start at $29.
