Joe Soto replaces Kid Yamamoto, faces Chris Beal at UFC Fight Night 89

Kid Yamamoto has pulled out of his bantamweight bout against Chris Beal at UFC Fight Night 89 due to undisclosed reasons and stepping up to meet Beal on the June 18 card in Ottawa will be Joe Soto.

The fight change was announced by the UFC on Thursday.

UFC Fight Night 89 will come from The Arena at TD Place in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and the event will be headlined by a welterweight bout as former UFC title challenger Rory MacDonald meets Stephen Thompson.

Soto (15-5) is currently on a three fight losing streak and his most recent defeat came in January at UFC 195 against Michinori Tanaka. His last win came in 2014 at Tachi Palace Fights 20 against Terrion Ware by submission. Beal (10-2) returns to the bantamweight division following back to back defeats in the flyweight division. He is 2-2 in the UFC and seven of his ten victories have come by decision.
