Sergei Kharitonov makes Bellator debut next weekend in San Jose against Josh Appelt

The Bellator debut of heavyweight Sergei Kharitonov will take place next weekend in San Jose, California at Bellator 154 as he will meet Josh Appelt on the main card broadcast on Spike.

The fight booking was announced by Bellator in a press release on Monday and along with announcing this fight, the promotion also announced Andre Fialho will meet Rick Reger in a welterweight bout.

Bellator 154 will come from the SAP Center in San Jose, California next Saturday night and will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout as Phil Davis meets Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal.

Kharitonov (23-5) is currently on a five fight winning streak and is coming off a win against Kenny Garner in July of last year. During his recent winning streak, four of the wins have come by TKO and three of those wins came in M-1. Appelt (12-5) has won back to back fights after dropping three in a row. His most recent win came in January as he defeated Roy Boughton at WFC 16.
