Stipe Miocic will be defending the UFC heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 203 on September 10 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio as he will be challenged by Alistair Overeem.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Wednesday evening.
Miocic (15-2) won the UFC heavyweight title two weeks ago at UFC 198 as he defeated Fabricio Werdum by knockout in the first round. He has won six of his last seven fights and his last two wins have come by knockout in the opening round. Overeem (41–14, 1NC) is currently on a four fight winning streak and is coming off a stoppage victory against Andrei Arlovski. During his winning streak, three of the four wins have come by TKO/KO and one of those wins came against Junior dos Santos.
