Nordine Taleb pulled out of his UFC Fight Night 90 bout against Alan Jouban earlier this week and stepping up to face Jouban on the July 7 fight card in Las Vegas will be recently signed welterweight Belal Muhammad.
The fight change was announced by the UFC on Wednesday.
UFC Fight Night 90 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will be headlined by a title fight as Rafael dos Anjos defends the lightweight title against Eddie Alvarez.
Muhammad (9-0) signed with the UFC last month and enters this fight after winning the vacant Titan FC welterweight title with a TKO victory over Steve Carl. It was his third career win by stoppage and all of his stoppage wins have come by TKO/KO. Jouban (13-4) is coming off a TKO win against Brendan O’Reilly at UFC Fight Night 85 and he has won three of his last four fights. Ten of his thirteen wins have come by stoppage and nine of those victories have come by TKO/KO.
