Featherweight Matt Bessette explains why fighting in CES MMA is “almost a no-brainer”

Featherweight Matt Bessette will be looking for his fourth win in a row tomorrow night at CES MMA 36 as he will meet Ran Weathers on the fight card coming from the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island.

Initially, Bessette (18-7) was scheduled to face Brazilian Jairo Soares. However, Soares was pulled from the fight this week and Bessette will now meet Ran Weathers. Prior to the opponent change, Bessette was a guest on this week’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast”

“I am super hungry and I always want to fight,” Bessette said on The MMA Report Podcast. “The thing is if I sign a multi-fight contract with Bellator and they only want to put me in the Mohegan show, I am fighting every six months which is crap. I am an active guy and I can’t fight every six months. I am going to go nuts. When you look at my record right now, this will be my third fight in under three months. CES pretty much gives me the opportunity to fight pretty much whenever I want to and they have a ton of shows. They have a ton of shows locally that I can possible be on. So it’s almost a no-brainer fighting for them. They give me the opportunity to fight for Bellator or the UFC if either of them were to call. I am in a really good situation with CES.”
