A featherweight bout has been added to the CES MMA 37 fight card on August 12 in Rhode Island as Joe Pingitore will look to continue his winning streak as he will meet Bill Jones.
The fight booking was announced by CES MMA on Thursday.
CES MMA 37 will come from the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island and will be headlined by Andre Soukhamthath defending the CES MMA bantamweight title against Kin Moy.
Pingitore (6-1-1, 1NC) will enter this fight with back to back victories and is coming off a win against Taylor Trahan at CES MMA 33. He is 4-0-1 in CES MMA and two of those victories have come by TKO.
“If he shows up performing how he did in his last fight in 2015, with that sloppy wrestling game and terrible stand-up, he’s got no chance. I have much respect for him coming out of the nursing home and back in the game, but you should’ve stayed retired, Grandpa Jones,” Pingitore said. “Unfortunately for him, we’re squaring up now and there isn’t any crime against assaulting a senior citizen in the CES MMA cage.”
Jones (12-10) has dropped his last two fights and this will be his fight fight since losing to John Santos in July of last year. He is 3-4 in his last seven fights and his last win came in 2014 against Jonathan Lemke.
“I’ve wanted this fight for a while. He’s cocky and thinks he can run through me,” Jones said. “Joe was an amateur while I was fighting for titles. I’ve been working my stand-up a lot and I can take this fight wherever it goes. There’s no way it goes three rounds. This kid has never fought anyone like me.”

Joe Pingitore (6-1-1, 1NC) vs. Bill Jones (12-10)
