Rose Namajunas vs. Karolina Kowalkiewicz added to UFC 201

A matchup of top ten strawweights has been added to the UFC 201 card on July 30 in Atlanta as Ultimate Fighter 20 finalist Rose Namajunas will meet Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

The fight booking was announced by the UFC on late Monday evening.

UFC 201 will come from the Phillips Arena on July 30 and the event will be headlined by a welterweight title fight as Robbie Lawler defends the UFC 170 pound title against Tyron Woodley.

Namajunas (5-2) is currently on a three fight winning streak and is coming off a decision win in April against Tecia Torres at UFC on FOX 19. During her winning streak, two of the three wins have come by rear-naked choke submission. Kowalkiewicz (9-0) made her UFC debut at the end of last year and both of her wins in the promotion have come by decision. Her most recent win came in May at UFC Fight Night 87 as she defeated Heather Clark.
