A lightweight bout that was recently reported by multiple outlets is now official for UFC on FOX 21 in Vancouver as Josh Emmett will take on UFC newcomer Jeremy Kennedy.
The fight booking was recently added to the official fight card lineup on UFC website.
UFC on FOX 21 will come from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on August 27 and will be headlined by a welterweight bout as Demian Maia meets Carlos Condit.
Emmett (10-0) won his UFC debut earlier this year when he defeated Jon Tuck by split decision at UFC Fight Night 87. Five of his ten wins have come by stoppage and three of those wins have come by TKO/KO. Kennedy (8-0) is coming off a decision win against Drew Brokenshire at Battlefield Fight League 43 and his last two wins have come by decision. Just like Emmett, five of his wins have come by stoppage with three of those wins coming by TKO/KO.
