Pat McCrohan vs. Ruslan Melikov booked for CES MMA 37

A middleweight bout between prospects has been added to next month’s CES MMA 37 in Rhode Island as Pat McCrohan will meet Ruslan Melikov on the preliminary card.

The fight booking was announced by CES MMA on Wednesday.

CES MMA 37 will come from the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island on August 12 and will be headlined by Andre Soukhamthath defending the CES MMA bantamweight title against Kin Moy.

McCrohan (2-0) made his professional debut last year and both of his professional wins have come in CES MMA. His most recent win came in January at CES MMA 32 as he defeated Mike Rodriguez by unanimous decision.

“I’m nowhere near closing in on my potential,” stated McCrohan. “I go out there every fight to get experience, have a little fun — and put people away as impressively as I can, whether that’s with my hands, feet or on the ground. I don’t feel the pressure not to lose — I just love to win, and the best way to win is by taking some calculated risks, having some fun and putting your opponent away.”

Melikov (3-1) will be making his CES MMA debut in this fight and is coming off a split decision lost against Tim Williams at CFFC 57 in March. The defeat snapped a three fight winning streak and two of his three wins have come by submission.

“CES MMA is one of the best promotions out there, and I’m really looking forward to this fight,” said Meilikov. “My plan is to put on an exciting show — a great fight for the fans — and then celebrate with the fans, because I’ve heard nothing but great things about CES MMA fans. I can’t wait. Let’s go!”
