A welterweight and middleweight bout have been added to the UFC Fight Night 94 card on September 17 in Hidalgo, Texas as Augusto Montano will meet Belal Muhammad at welterweight and Roan Carneiro faces Kenny Robertson at middleweight.
Both fight bookings were announced by the UFC on Wednesday evening.
UFC Fight Night 94 will come from the State Farm Arena and will be headlined by a lightweight bout as Dustin Poirier meets Michael Johnson.
Montano (15-2) is coming off a decision lost at UFC 188 last year against Cathal Pendred and the defeat snapped a six fight winning streak. He is 1-1 in the UFC and ten of his fifteen wins have come by TKO/KO. Muhammad (9-1) lost his UFC debut earlier this month at UFC Fight Night 90 against Alan Jouban by decision. Prior to entering the UFC, six of his nine wins had come by decision and all of his stoppage victories have come by TKO/KO.
Carneiro (20-10) returned to the UFC last year and scored a submission victory over Mark Munoz at UFC 184. He will enter this fight following a TKO defeat against Derek Brunson in February at UFC Fight Night 82 and that defeat snapped a six fight winning streak. Robertson (15-4) will also enter this fight following a defeat as he lost a split decision against Ben Saunders last year. The defeat snapped a three fight winning streak and he is 4-3 since returning to the promotion in 2012.
