Sean Santella has signed with the UFC and he will be making his promotional debut against Wilson Reis later this month at UFC 201 in Atlanta.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Wednesday evening during the UFC Fight Night 91 main card.
UFC 201 will come from the Phillips Arena on July 30 and the event will be headlined by a welterweight title fight as Robbie Lawler defends the UFC 170 pound title against Tyron Woodley.
Reis (20-6) was originally scheduled to challenge Demetrious Johnson for the flyweight title in the co-main event of the fight card, but Johnson pulled out of the event late last week due to undisclosed reasons. Santella (15-5-1, 1NC) enters the UFC on a three fight unbeaten streak and is coming off a decision victory in February against Andrew Cseh. Ten of his fifteen wins have come by submission and he is 7-2, 1NC in his last ten fights.
