After having 26 amateur fights, Nick Baker will make his professional debut on Saturday night at Valor Fights 36 as he will meet Dalton Fox on the fight card coming from the Gatlinburg Convention Center in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
With having a large amount of amateur fights, why did Baker decide this was the right time to make his pro debut?
“Well, I’ve been offered two years ago to turn pro but my record was not really looking all that great,” Baker said. “So I held it off and just kept fighting. Kept working on my jiu-jitsu skills because that is what I was lacking on and things have been good besides my last fight. I just felt like it’s time to get paid and get serious with it.
