A bantamweight bout has been added to the CES MMA 38 card on September 23 in Connecticut as Rico DiSciullo will look to remain unbeaten when he meets David Garcia.
The fight booking was announced by CES MMA on Tuesday.
CES MMA 38 will come from the Foxwoods Casino and Resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut and tickets are currently on sale.
DiSciullo (6-0, 1NC) is coming off a knockout win in April at CES MMA 35 as he defeated Jake Constant in the first round. Three of his six wins have come by TKO/KO in the first round and he is 4-0 in CES MMA.
“I’m not concerned about anything besides putting on another exciting fight,” said DiSciullo. “Yes, I want to keep my winning streak going, but I’m not going to play it safe or take my foot off the pedal. There’s nothing I love more than going out there and putting on an exciting fight, and I’m expecting just that at Foxwoods.”
Garcia (2-2-1) is unbeaten in his last two fights and is coming off a split draw decision against Adrian Ortega at XFO 58 in May. Both of his professional victories have come by stoppage and this will be his CES MMA debut.
“This isn’t the first time that I’ve come into my opponent’s backyard, and I’m going to go in there and do my thing,” said Garcia. “There’s more pressure on him than me. He’s on a good streak, and he’s going to want to live up to it in front of all of his supporters, and that might affect him once we get going.”
