Travis Browne slated to replace Ben Rothwell against Fabricio Werdum at UFC 203

Ben Rothwell has pulled out of his UFC 203 bout against former heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum due to an injury and slated to step up to meet Werdum on the September 10 fight card in Cleveland is Travis Browne.

The fight change was reported on Thursday by MMA Junkie and the UFC has not officially announced the change as of early Friday afternoon.

UFC 203 will come from the Quicken Loans Arena and will be headlined by a title fight as Stipe Miocic defends the UFC heavyweight title against Alistair Overeem.

Browne (18-4-1) will be looking to even up the score against Werdum as he lost a decision against the former UFC champion in 2014 at UFC on FOX 11. He is coming off a lost against Cain Velasquez last month and has alternated wins and losses in his last six fights. Werdum (20-6-1) lost the UFC heavyweight title in May against Stipe Miocic and the defeat snapped a six fight winning streak. During that winning streak, four of the six wins came by stoppage and he is 9-2 in his last eleven fights.
