A bantamweight bout has been added to the UFC Fight Night 98 card on November 5 in Mexico City as Erik Perez will meet Felipe Arantes and the bout is likely to be part of the six fight main card on FS1.
The fight booking was confirmed by the UFC following a report from La Afición on Tuesday.
UFC Fight Night 98 will come from the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City on November 5 and will be headlined by former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos facing Ultimate Fighter 13 winner Tony Ferguson.
Perez (16-6) has won back to back fights and is coming off a decision win at UFC 201 against Francisco Rivera. Since entering the UFC in 2012, he has gone 6-2 in the promotion and eleven of his sixteen professional victories have come by stoppage. Arantes (18-7-1, 2NC) dropped down to the bantamweight division last year and has gone 2-0 in the division. His most recent victory came in July as he defeated Jarrod Sanders by submission at UFC Fight Night 90.
