Jenel Lausa will make his UFC debut next month in Philippines against Yao Zhikui

The UFC debut of flyweight Jenel Lausa will come next month at UFC Fight Night 97 in the Philippines as he will make his promotional debut against Ultimate Fighter China alum Yao Zhikui.

The fight booking was announced by the UFC on early Wednesday.

UFC Fight Night 97 will come from the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines on October 15 and will be headlined by a featherweight bout as Ricardo Lamas meets B.J. Penn.

Lausa (6-2) is currently on a four fight winning streak and is coming off a split decision victory in January against Crisanto Pitpitunge. Four of his six wins have come by stoppage and three of those wins have come in the first round. Zhikui (2-3) has gone 1-2 in the UFC and is coming off a TKO lost due to injury against Fredy Serrano. His only win in the UFC came in May of 2015 as he defeated Nolan Ticman by split decision at UFC Fight Night 66.
