The WSOF will be heading to the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland, Colorado on November 12 and the event will be feature Jon Fitch defending the welterweight title against Jake Shields.
WSOF President Ray Sefo revealed the matchup to ESPN on Tuesday.
Fitch (28-7-1, 1NC) won the vacant WSOF welterweight title earlier this year as he defeated Joao Zeferino by decision at WSOF 30. He is 4-1 in his last five fights and all of those victories have come by decision. Shields (31-8-1, 1NC) is coming off a lost against Rousimar Palhares last year at WSOF 22 and the defeat snapped a two fight winning streak. He is 4-2 in his last six fights and his last two wins have come by submission.
