The second professional fight for Sean Reed will take place next Saturday at Odyssey Fights: Battle at the Base as he will meet William Haney on the fight card coming from the Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall in Arlington, Virginia.
Reed (1-0) won his professional debut last year by submission against Omar Santiago at Strike Off 4 and he was a guest on this past Wednesday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast.” During his appearance on the weekly podcast, he explained why he is a professional fighter.
“For me, this isn’t really a career. It’s a passion, but I do it for the charities,” Reed said. “I have my normal job. I have my daughter. I have several businesses that I run so I do this as a way to give back. My goal has always been to take one fight a year. Get some proceeds together. Get some awareness for some of these veteran organizations and as long as I can do that once a year until I am 55 or 60. I don’t know. Then I feel like I have gotten success.”
