New England Fights and CES MMA are teaming up for a joint super-show on Friday, November 4 in Maine and a heavyweight bout has been announced for the preliminary card as Ras Hylton will meet Kevin Smith.
The fight booking was announced by New England Fights on Tuesday afternoon.
CES vs. NEF: Supremacy will come from the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston, Maine and tickets are currently on sale at www.TheColisee.com or by calling the Colisee box office at 207.783.2009, extension 525.
Hylton (2-0) made his amateur debut earlier this year at New England Fights 21 and scored a stoppage victory against Zak Bergeron. He followed up that victory with another stoppage victory in April as he defeated Matt Glover by knockout at New England Fights 22.
“I am looking forward to fighting Kevin Smith November 4th,” said Hylton. “Young’s puts out great fighters and I’m sure he will live up to their reputation. The more wins you get, the tougher your opponents are. He will be my strongest challenge in the cage so far.”
Smith (3-2) has been out of action for over two years as his last fight came in February of 2014. On that night, he was defeated by Dan Randall and the defeat snapped a three fight winning streak.
“I knew deep down that fighting is what I was made to do, and I won’t be happy doing a regular job,” said Smith. “So I put everything aside to focus on this full time and my ultimate goal is to make it to the big show and fight in Bellator or the UFC.”
More information on CES vs. NEF: Supremacy will be released by both promotions in the near future.
