The MMA Report Podcast: UFC Fight Night 134 recap and preview of UFC on FOX 30

MMA Report PodcastOn this week’s podcast, Jason and Daniel recap what happened this past Sunday at UFC Fight Night 134 and preview Saturday’s UFC on FOX 30.

Before they get into those fights cards, Jason and Daniel discuss a tweet that was recently sent about will MMA managers support a fighter union. Jason brings us how much NFL agents make off a players contract and whether or not he believes a fighters union could come to MMA.

Up next is the recap of Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 134, which was headlined by Anthony Smith defeating former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua by knockout. Along with recapping the main event, Jason and Daniel tell you what stuck out to them about this fight card and how the UFC should avoid thirteen fight card.

Following their recap of UFC Fight Night 134, they discuss what happened last Thursday at PFL 4 and then they get into their preview of UFC on FOX 30. They talk about why they are “all-in” on this event, the best fights of the fight card, and could the main event produce the next title challenger in the UFC lightweight division.

After previewing UFC on FOX 30, it’s time for the weekly Buy/Sell segment as they discuss four MMA topics and then they wrap up this week’s show by discussing an article that was recently posted about how DAZN monthly fee is double of ESPN+.

You didn’t respond to some of my ?’s. Can you respond on here?

I think all Bellator fights will be on Dazn starting next year.

Bellator needs to stop doing fucking tape delay. I’m tired of damn tape delay. It’s 2018 not 2008…

Who should Chandler fight in his UFC debut if or when he signs with them?

What’s the latest with Josh Barnett? His manager said he has five good offers.

Tape delay is over with DAZN deal

If Chandler signs with UFC, I would say someone in the lower top 10.

I have not spoken with Barnett’s manager, so I can’t speak about what his manager is saying.

Out of these MMA leagues which is the best for prospects to sign with: UFC/ Bellator/ LFA/ ONE/ PFL/ Rizin?

Multiple aspects on where a prospect should fight. For example, lets say the fighter is 3-0 in their pro career. Going to UFC is not a smart option for the most part. Let’s say that fighter is a good ticket seller, than Bellator and LFA make more sense. PFL and Rizin are for more established fighters, but can’t blame any fighter that goes to PFL with the $1 million payday.

And ONE is for mostly Asian fighters with some notable names added.

Scott Coker warned ACB about doing events outside of Russia. Now look at them having issues.
