Dennis Bermudez was originally booked to face Nik Lentz at UFC Fight Night 31 but Lentz was moved to the UFC on FOX 9 card today and Bermudez will now face Steven Siler.
UFC officials announced the change on Wednesday and the new bout may end up being apart of the main card broadcast on Fox Sports 1.
UFC Fight Night 31: Fight for the Troops 3 will take place on November 6th from Fort Campbell, Kentucky and will be headlined by Lyoto Machida making his UFC middleweight debut against Tim Kennedy.
Siler (23-10) has won back to back fights and five of his six fights in the UFC since being on The Ultimate Fighter 14. His most recent trip to the octagon came at UFC Fight Night 26 and he defeated former WEC featherweight champion by knockout in the second round.
Bermudez (11-3) also entered the UFC through The Ultimate Fighter 14 and has won four straight since being defeated by Diego Brandao in the final. He most recently defeated Max Holloway by split decision and it was his second straight win by split decision.
