Hector Lombard made his welterweight debut on Saturday night at UFC 166 and he scored a first round knockout against Nate Marquardt.
The fight opened with Lombard being the fighter pushing the pace and they had a good exchange of short strikes in the opening 90 seconds of the fight.
They broke away from each other and Lombard landed a right hand that rocked Marquardt. Lombard would land another punch that dropped Marquardt to the ground and would get the finish on the ground.
Lombard (33-4-1, 1NC) is now 2-2 in the UFC and both of those wins have come by knockout in the first round.
