Georges St-Pierre and Johny Hendricks were among eleven fights that received a medical suspension from the Nevada State Athletic Commission following UFC 167 on Saturday night.
The commission released the medical suspensions on Monday afternoon and the suspensions were forwarded to TheMMAReport.com after they were requested.
UFC 167 took place this past Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and was headlined by Georges St-Pierre defeating Johny Hendricks by split decision to retain the UFC welterweight title.
St-Pierre received a suspension until the beginning of the year, but Hendricks is facing a lengthy suspension for his right knee. He will need to get clearance from an orthopedic doctor, or he will be out of action for six months.
The complete UFC 167 medical suspensions are below:
- Georges St-Pierre: Suspended until 01/01/14 with no contact until 12/17/13
- Johny Hendricks: Must have orthopedic clearance on right knee or no contest until 5/17/14. Minimum suspension, no contest until 12/17/13 and no contact until 12/8/13
- Chael Sonnen: Suspended until 01/1/14 with no contact until 12/17/13
- Rory MacDonald: Suspended until 12/17/13 with no contact until 12/8/13
- Josh Koscheck: Suspended until 01/1/14 with no contact until 12/17/13
- Ali Bagautinov: Must have orthopedic clearance on left foot or no contest until 5/17/14. Minimum suspension, no contest until 12/17/13 and no contact until 12/8/13
- Evan Dunham: Suspended until 01/1/14 with no contact until 12/17/13
- Rick Story: Suspended until 01/1/14 with no contact until 12/17/13 (left eyebrow laceration)
- Erik Perez: Suspended until 12/17/13 with no contact until 12/08/13 (laceration on bridge of nose)
- Gian Villante: Must have orthopedic clearance on both hands or no contest until 5/17/14
- Cody Donovan: Must have right hand x-rayed and cleared by an orthopedic doctor, or no contest until 5/17/14. Minimum suspension and no contest until 12/17/13, with no contact until 12/8/13
