UFC 171 adds Julianna Pena vs. Jessica Andrade and Jimy Hettes vs. Dennis Bermudez

A pair of bouts have been added to UFC 171 on March 15th as Ultimate Fighter 18 winner Julianna Pena will face Jessica Andrade and Jimy Hettes meets Dennis Bermudez.

Both fight bookings were announced by the UFC on Monday evening and both bouts are expected to be placed on the preliminary card.

UFC 171 takes place on March 15th from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas and will be headlined by Johny Hendricks facing Robbie Lawler for the vacant UFC welterweight title.

Pena (5-2) defeated Jessica Rakoczy to win The Ultimate Fighter 18 and the victory snapped a two fight losing streak. She won the fight in the first round by TKO with one second left in the round, and it was her second career win by TKO. Andrade (10-3) was signed by the UFC last year and lost her debut to Liz Carmouche. She returned at UFC Fight Night 30 and dominated Rosi Sexton to win by unanimous decision.

Hettes (11-1) has won three of his four fights in the UFC and two of the wins have come by submission. His most recent victory came at UFC Fight Night 30 as he submitted Rob Whiteford in the second round with a triangle choke. Bermudez (12-3) is currently on a five fight winning streak and has won a fight night bonus in two of those fights. He is coming off a decision win against Steven Siler and UFC Fight Night 31 and his last three wins have come by decision.
