The UFC 152 pay-per-view will start at 10 p.m. ET with a featherweight bout as Cub Swanson (17-5) takes on Charlies Oliveira (16-2, 1NC).
Both fighters enter this fight on a two fight winning streak, with both guys winning those fights by stoppage.
Swanson is a veteran of the WEC and lost his UFC debut to Ricardo Lamas in his debut.
Since that defeat, he has won back to back fights and has won both fights by knockout in the second round. His most recent win came at UFC on FX 4 against Ross Pearson and he won the knockout of the night bonus, which was his fourth fight night bonus in Zuffa.
Oliveira is a seven fight veteran of the UFC and entered the promotion as a lightweight. After his lost to Donald Cerrone last year, he dropped down the featherweight division and is 2-0 as a featherweight.
He is coming off a submission win at the Ultimate Fighter Finale against Jonathan Brookins in July and the win was his ninth career win by submission.
This is the classic fight were one fighter’s strength is striking and the other is ground. Swanson will look to keep this fight standing and Oliveira will look to take the fight to the ground.
TheMMAReport.com predicts that this could end up being the fight of the night and sees Swanson picking up his third straight victory and winning the fight in the second round by TKO.
