UFC lightweight fighter Jeremy Stephens has been arrested in Minneapolis for an outstanding warrant.
The news of the arrest was initially reported by MMAJunkie.com and the Minneapolis Police Department have only said that Stephens was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the state of Iowa.
According to the online database of the Minneapolis Police Department, Stephen’s is being held without bond and is facing a felony charge.
He is scheduled to face Yves Edwards tonight at UFC on FX 5 and UFC officials have not announced if the fight has been canceled.
Update: UFC President Dana White is saying that Stephens is still scheduled to fight tonight. As of 1:48 p.m. ET, Stephens is being held by the police department with no bail.
