After losing three straight fights and five of his last seven, the UFC has released former Ultimate Fighter Finalist DaMarques Johnson.
And the hits keep on coming… No longer a UFC fighter.

Johnson (16-12) had an overall record of 4-6 in the UFC, which he never had a fight do the distance and only made it to the third round one time. After losing the in the final of TUF, he won four of six, which included a knockout and submission of the night bonus.
However, after those six fights, he lost three straight fights and the most recent coming two weeks ago at UFC on FUEL TV 5 in England against Gunnar Nelson. He took the fight on one weeks notice, missed weight by eight pounds and was defeated in the first round by submission.
If Johnson can win a couple of fight outside of the UFC and show he can make weight, he will likely be brought back to the organization.
