A bout between heavyweights that were defeated in their UFC debuts has been announced for UFC 177 on August 30th in Sacramento as Anthony Hamilton will meet Ruan Potts.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Saturday.
UFC 177 will come from the Sleep Train Arena on August 30th and will be headlined by TJ Dillashaw defending the bantamweight title against Renan Barao.
Hamilton (12-3) was defeated by Oleksiy Oliynyk by submission at UFC Fight Night 44 last month and the defeat snapped a six fight winning streak. All of his defeats have come in the first round and two have been by submission.
Potts (8-2) made his UFC debut in May at UFC Fight Night 40 and was defeated in the first round by Soa Palelei. The defeat snapped a three fight winning streak and it was his first defeat to come by stoppage.
