Kyle Noke has been forced to pull out of his UFC Fight Night 52 bout against Yoshihiro Akiyama after he suffered a knee injury in training.
The injury was announced during last night’s edition of UFC Tonight and according to the weekly UFC news program, the UFC has asked Amir Sadollah to replace Noke in the fight.
Following the announcement of the injury, Noke sent out a tweet confirming that it was a knee injury that forced him out of the fight.
“Unfortunately, I’ve had to withdraw from my fight with Akiyama in Japan due to a knee injury,” Noke tweeted. “Thank you everyone for the continued support.”
UFC Fight Night 52 will take place on September 20 from Japan and will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as Mark Hunt meets Roy Nelson.
