Following injuries to Rob Font and Ian Entwistle, their original opponents at UFC Fight Night 50 will now meet as Dustin Kimura and Chris Beal have verbally agreed to meet on the September 5th card in Connecticut.
The fight change was announced by the UFC on Friday.
UFC Fight Night 50 will come from the Foxwoods Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut on September 5th and will be headlined by a middleweight bout as Gegard Mousasi meets Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza.
Kimura (11-2) has won eight of his fights by submission and both of his wins in the UFC have come by submission. Since winning his UFC debut, he has dropped two of three and he will enter this fight following a decision defeat to George Roop at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale in April.
Beal (9-0) came to the UFC during The Ultimate Fighter 18 and made his official debut with the promotion in April against Patrick Williams. He would win one of the performance of the night bonuses as he defeated Williams by knockout in the second round.
