An undisclosed injury has forced Krasimir Mladenov out of his WSOF 19 bout against Clifford Starks and stepping up on short notice to meet Starks will be Eddie Arizmendi.
The injury and new fight booking was reported by MMA Junkie on Wedneday morning as the change was told to them by WSOF President Ray Sefo.
WSOF 19 will come from the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona on March 28 and will be headlined by Justin Gaethje defending the lightweight title against Luis Palomino.
Arizmendi (15-6) is out of Tucson, Arizona and he will be looking to snap a three fight losing streak at WSOF 19. Prior to the recent defeats, he had won nine in a row and seven of those wins came by stoppage. Starks (10-2) has won back to back fights since being released by the UFC and both of those wins came in Bellator. His most recent win came in September as he defeated Jacob Ortiz by submission.
