Following the conclusion of Bellator 80 last night, Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney announced that this season’s heavyweight and featherweight tournament finals will take place at Bellator 84 in Hammond, Indiana.
Bellator 84 will take place on December 14th and the be the season finale and the last Bellator fight card on MTV2 as the organization moves to Spike TV in 2013.
In the heavyweight final, Rich Hale will take on Alexander Volkov and in the featherweight final, Rad Martinez meets Shahbulat Shamhalaev.
Hale and Shamhalaev secured their spots in the finals last week and Volkov and Martinez won last night at Bellator 80 to advance to the finals.
Along with the two tournament finals, Bellator 84 will feature Christian M’Pumbu making his first Bellator light heavyweight title defense against Attila Vegh, which will be the main event of the fight card.
