Following his win over Diego Ferreira this past weekend, Dustin Poirier is set to make a quick return to the octagon as he will meet Yancy Medeiros at UFC Fight Night 68 on June 6 in New Orleans.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Tuesday.
UFC Fight Night 68 will come from the Smoothie King Center and will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout as former title challenger Daniel Cormier meets Ryan Bader.
Poirier (17-4) won a performance of the night bonus against Ferreira this past Saturday afternoon in his UFC lightweight debut. He has won four of his last five fights and his last three wins have come by TKO/KO. Mederios (11-2, 1NC) has won back to back fights and is 2-2, 1NC since entering the UFC on 2013. His most recent win came in December as he defeated Joe Proctor by submission.
