Ultimate Fighter 1 alum Mike Swick has been on the sidelines since the end of 2012 and he will return to the octagon in July as he will Alex Garcia at UFC 189.
The fight booking was confirmed by the UFC on Tuesday.
UFC 189 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will be headlined by a title fight as Jose Aldo defends the featherweight title against Conor McGregor.
Swick (15-5) is 1-3 in his last four fights and his last fight was at UFC on FOX 5 against Matt Brown. He was defeated by Brown in the second round and his last win came at UFC on FOX 4 against DaMarques Johnson.
Garcia (12-2) signed with the UFC in 2013 and open up his UFC career with back to back wins. His winning streak was snapped in his third UFC bout as he lost a decision to Neil Magny at UFC Fight Night 49 in August.
