Yan Cabral recently pulled out of his UFC Fight Night 67 bout against KJ Noons due to dengue fever and stepping up on short notice to face Noons will be Alex Oliveira.
The fight change was initially reported by MMA Fighting and the new fight was recently made official by the UFC.
UFC Fight Night 67 will come from the Goiania Arena in Goiania, Goias, Brazil next Saturday night and the event will be headlined by a welterweight bout between Carlos Condit and Thiago Alves.
Oliveira (10-2, 1NC) made his UFC debut in March when he stepped up on very short notice to face Gilbert Burns. He got off to a tremendous start in the fight, but would end up being submitted in the third round. Noons (13-7 1NC) is unbeaten in his last three fights (2-0, 1NC) and this will be his first fight since December. In that fight, he faced Daron Cruickshank and the fight was stopped in the opening moments of the second round due to an accidental eye poke by Noons.
