The Invicta FC atomweight title will be on the line in the main event of Invicta FC 16 on March 11 in Las Vegas as Ayaka Hamasaki will make her first title defense against Amber Brown. Along with the title fight in the main event, the co-main event will also be a title fight as Vanessa Porto will meet Jennifer Maia for the interim flyweight title.
The fight bookings were announced by Invicta FC on Tuesday and the fight card will come from the Trinidad Pavilion at Tropicana Las Vegas. Tickets for the event will go on sale Friday, February 19 and the event will air live on UFC Fight Pass on March 11.
Hamasaki (12-1) won the Invicta title last year with a split decision win against Herica Tiburcio at Invicta FC 13. She will enter this fight with three straight victories and her only professional lost came in 2013 against Claudia Gadelha. Brown (6-1) is currently on a four fight winning streak and her last three wins have come in the Invicta cage. Her last two wins have come by submission and the most recent win came in January against Shino VanHoose.
