The UFC continues to schedule Strikeforce fighters for upcoming UFC fight cards and this has continued as lightweight Caros Fodor will make his UFC debut against Sam Stout at UFC 157 on February 23rd.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Friday and the fight will take place on the preliminary card, which will come from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Fodor (7-2) is a six fight veteran of Strikeforce and went 5-1 in the organization. After winning his first five fights in Strikeforce, he was defeated by Pat Healy early last year by submission. It was his first defeat since 2010, which was also a submission lost.
Stout (18-8-1) originally made his UFC debut in 2006 and is a 14 fight UFC veteran. He has gone 7-7 in the UFC and is 5-3 in his last eight fights, which include him winning five fight night bonus in those eight fights.
UFC 157 takes place on February 23rd at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California and will be headlined by Ronda Rousey defending the UFC women’s bantamweight title against Liz Carmouche.
