A bantamweight bout has been booked for UFC Fight Night 90 on July 7 in Las Vegas as Pedro Munhoz will meet Russell Doane in a matchup that will likely be part of the preliminary card.
The fight booking was recently announced by the UFC.
UFC Fight Night 90 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will be headlined by a title fight as Rafael dos Anjos defends the lightweight title against Eddie Alvarez.
Munhoz (11-2, 1NC) has gone 1-2, 1NC since entering the UFC in 2014 and he is coming off a split decision lost at UFC Fight Night 77 last year against Jimmie Rivera. His only win in the UFC came back in 2014 at The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 Finale as he defeated Matt Hobar by TKO. Doane (14-5) enters this fight with back to back defeats and is 2-2 in the UFC. His most recent defeat came in July of last year at The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale against Jerrod Sanders and both of his defeats in the UFC have come by decision.
