Friday night’s Shamrock FC: Explosion card at the River City Casino in St. Louis, Missouri will see a flyweight bout as Dan O’Connor will look for his seventh career victory as he meets Isaac Badger.
O’Connor (6-6, 1NC) will be looking to snap a four fight losing streak and this will be his first fight since losing to Nick McClean at Shamrock FC: Ultimate in December. Since his last fight, O’Connor has moved his training back to a gym he use to train at and he explained why he made this move during Tuesday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast.”
“I had moved about a year and a half ago,” Connor stated on The MMA Report Podcast. “So I was going to a gym that was a lot closer to the house. But it did not work because of my time frame and it was a big switch up from the way I use to train. It was just not working out for me. Now I am back at my old gym. Making the extra 30 minute drive there everyday.”
