The World Series of Fighting has added two heavyweights to their growing roster as former UFC fighter Jared Rosholt and CES MMA heavyweight champion Ashley Gooch have signed exclusive, multi-fight deals with the promotion.
The signings of Rosholt and Gooch was announced in a press release on Wednesday by the World Series of Fighting.
“We are excited to welcome one of the sport’s top, free-agent heavyweight stars in Jared Rosholt, as well as veteran Ashley Gooch, who has been on fire of late, to the World Series of Fighting roster and look forward to seeing how each is able to contend in the decagon cage where we have a growing number of exciting and fast-rising stars vying for our coveted championship that is held by Blagoy Ivanov,” said World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo.
Rosholt (14-3) was released by the UFC earlier this year following his decision defeat against Roy Nelson at UFC Fight Night 82. The defeat snapped a three fight winning streak and he went 6-2 in the UFC. Gooch (10-4) won the CES MMA heavyweight title earlier this month with a TKO victory over Greg Rebello. He is currently on an eight fight winning streak and nine of his ten victories have come by stoppage.
The promotional debuts of Rosholt and Gooch will be announced at a later date.
