The professional debut of Erion Zekthi will take place tonight in St. Louis at Shamrock FC 275 as he will meet Trevor Ward in the co-main event of the fight card coming from the River City Casino.
Zekthi went 10-0 in the amateur ranks and he was a guest on Wednesday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast” to preview his fight tonight against Ward. While talking about his fight tonight, Zekthi proclaimed that Ward’s jiu-jitsu game is “kind of garbage.”
“He is long. He has the range. He is tall and length guy,” Zekthi said about the challenges Ward will bring to the cage tonight. “So if he is smart, he is going to keep me at bay. Try to pit pat me and him this fight via points. That is the only way he is going to win this fight. There is no way on god’s green earth that he has the power to put me away. And his jiu-jitsu, some guys think he has a good guard game. I think his jiu-jitsu is kind of garbage so the only way he wins this fight is if he out points me. The pressure I am planning on bringing to him, there is no way he is going to make it a fight where he can just back off and score these points. I am going to be in his face and it’s going to be a dog fight. I don’t think he is ready for me.”
