A lightweight bout has been added to UFC 158 as recent Ultimate Fighter finalist will meet as TUF 16 finalist Mike Ricci faces TUF: The Smashes finalist Colin Fletcher.
The UFC announced the fight on Wednesday and the bout will take place on the preliminary card, which is scheduled for FX and the UFC Facebook page.
Ricci (7-3) was a finalist during “The Ultimate Fighter 16” and was looking to become the first Canadian winner of the reality show. He was defeated in the finals by Colton Smith, which he was defeated by unanimous decision.
The lost was his third defeat in his last five fights, with the other loses coming against Bellator champion Pat Curran and current UFC fighter Daron Cruickshank.
Fletcher (8-2) was a member of Team UK in “TUF: The Smashes” and advance to the final of the reality show and faced his teammate Norman Parke. He would end up losing the fight by decision and it was his first lost since 2011. Prior to his fight at the finale, he was on a four fight winning streak and three of those wins were by submission.
UFC 158 takes place on March 16th from the Bell Centre in Montreal and will be headlined by Georges St-Pierre defending the UFC welterweight title against former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz.
