Bellator announces middleweight title fight plus bracket for featherweight tournament

Bellator officially announced details of its Bellator 88 fight card today which will take place on February 7th from The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Georgia and live on Spike TV.Bellator 88

The card will be topped off with a main-event featuring a middleweight title fight between Russian standout Alexander “Storm” Shlemenko (46-7) and Brazilian Miquel “Big Rig” Falcao (31-4).

Shelemenko is coming off his second successful trip through the Bellator Middleweight Tournament and he clearly has his eyes set on the gold this time. Opposite Shelemenko, will be Falcao, who is currently riding a 4-fight winning streak including 3-straight victories inside the Bellator cage. This fight will easily be the biggest fight of both fighters lengthy careers.

The fight card will also include the quarterfinals of the $100,000 featherweight tournament which has four bouts featuring Alexandre “Popo” Bezerra (14-2) vs. Genair da Silva (13-4), Mike Richman (13-2) vs. Mitch Jackon (19-2), Marlon Sandro (23-4) vs. Akop Stepanyan (12-4) and Fabricio Guerrerio (17-1) vs. Frodo Khasbulaev (17-5).

Tickets for the event are on sale now and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or by visiting The Arena at Gwinnett Center Box Office, with tickets starting at just $40 dollars. The event will broadcast LIVE starting at 10 p.m. EST on Spike, as well as in Spanish language on mun2. The preliminary card will be streamed LIVE and FREE on Spike.com starting at 8 p.m. EST.
