A welterweight bout has been added to UFC 163 as Ultimate Fighter 16 Alum Bristol Marunde will take on UFC newcomer Viscardi Andrade.
UFC officials recently added the bout to the fight card and it will take place on the preliminary card.
UFC 163 takes place on August 3rd from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and will be headlined by Jose Aldo defending the UFC featherweight title against Anthony Pettis.
Marunde (12-8) was a member of Team Carwin in The Ultimate Fighter 16 and made his official UFC debut earlier this year at The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale against Clint Hester. He was defeated in the third round by knockout and it was his second straight defeat.
Andrade (13-5) has won six straight fights and this will be his UFC debut. His last four wins have come by stoppage and is most recent win came in October of last year when he defeated Michel Vaz by TKO in 31 seconds.
